Ysabel Allard moved to Washington, D.C., as a child, when her father was appointed her home country’s Ambassador to the United States. Her love of languages evolved into a real talent for translation and interpretation, and has made her the most sought-after language expert in town.
Ysabel’s best friend within the Priya Club is Kenna Henley.
Ysabel is registered with the ACTFL as “Distinguished” in two languages languages, Spanish and English, and as “Superior” in French, Italian, and German. For the past several years, she has been privately learning Mandarin Chinese. She has yet to decide if she will incorporate this new skill into her business profile, or make it a resource available only to specific clients.
After more than two decades in the US, having come here as a second grader, Ysabel considers herself an American and she wants to make it official. Her family, prominent in the Diplomatic Corps of the South American nation of her birth, is completely against the idea.
Keep an eye on this space for hints about the thrills in Ysabel’s story.
