Priya Club members don’t dwell on mistakes, or hide in the pain of the past. We get up, and we get going. Some of us spend our days running businesses, or filming television shows, or raising children, or unlocking the secrets of the human genome. Others of us are deep in creative pursuits, or investing time and resources in community-centered projects.
We’re always on the move, exploring the present – and building the future – through new opportunities, adventures, love, challenges, and kindness.
Join us as we learn how to live life on our own terms, a journey that may take a whole lifetime to accomplish.

WHO ARE THE PRIYAS?
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PRIYAS
How They Spend Their Days
Priya Club members are always on the move: growing, learning, making things happen for themselves and for their families, communities, and businesses.
Their lives may not be perfect, but these aren’t women who dwell in the pain or mistakes of the past. They get up, and they get going. Some spend their days running businesses or raising children. Others are deep in creative pursuits or investing their time and resources in community-related ventures. And then there’s Fallon, the Priya Club Member who will not go to sleep until she’s made headlines…somewhere in the world.
An event planner, an actress, a singer, a winemaker, a doctor, a journalist, a retail executive, a socialite adored by the tabloids, a professional athlete, a politician’s daughter, a talk show host, a realtor, a hotelier a pilot and thrill seeker, a landscape designer, a restaurateur…
Some have fame, or fortune, or professional success.
Some have all three.
How The Priya Club Idea Started
There are twenty-six Priya Club members, an all female, secret group founded back when the girls were in the sixth grade.
Ava Arden was inspired to create a club after hearing about the secret societies that Devon Conley’s father, at the time a newly-elected Congressman, had been inducted into on Capitol Hill. (Yes, these really exist.)
Eden Loring became the final Priya seven years ago. After she was voted in unanimously, which is the only way, membership in the Priya Club was forever closed.
Now as then, the Priyas are as different from one another as they are devoted to one another. Their bonds of friendship continue to stand the test of time.
CHARACTERS YOU'LL FIND IN THE PRIYA CLUB NOVELS
In Washington, D.C., secrets are the local currency. A person in possession of a high-value secret can trade it to secure just about anything they desire. Absolutes — bad or good, ally or enemy — they don’t exist here. Not in this town. Not in the way you’ve always believe them to be defined.
Which characters are for the Priyas, and which ones are against them? Do you know? Do they?
LIVING LIFE THE PRIYA CLUB WAY
“My love travels with the air and with the sun. It travels across oceans and mountains, through cities and pastures and deserts. It flies freely beneath the stars and the moon. My love travels with the birds and the fish, with hope and with prayer, with all of your yesterdays and all of your tomorrows. You are my child, Layla. My love travels with you.”
– Mary Hawayak to Layla, her daughter, in AVA
MORE ON THE PRIYA CLUB NOVELS
Here, in Washington, some stories are hastily told. Rushed through to fulfill an obligation and then left behind – forgotten – in the ruins of what once was, or might have been.
Other stories are simmered and savored, then brought to a boil, time and again, to extract the richness of each tasty detail, and shared with anyone who cares to partake.
That’s just life in a political town.
But this story, this tangle of events and outcomes, of love and mystery, is more than the Priyas had believed possible.
It all begins on a hot August day, in month when the city moves at a lazy, longed-for pace. A month during which nothing ever happens.
Ava’s story opens twenty years after she and seven other girls gathered at her house to swear allegiance to their newly-formed Priya Club.
As children, they couldn’t have known the critical roles they would come to play in one another’s lives as, year after year, they honored their pact.
Yes, they will challenge each other’s choice and ideas as much as any collection of old friends would, perhaps more. But during those critical times when one of their own is at her weakest and most vulnerable, they stand with her as she faces her darkest moments.
Together, they always make it through. Together, they are unbreakable.
Or so they have always believed.
ENTER THE WORLD OF THE PRIYA CLUB. THE STORY STARTS WITH AVA.
POLITICS AND MURDER SET THE BACKDROP FOR A SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE IN THIS DEBUT NOVEL BY ASHLEY BARRON. AVA BLENDS THE EMOTIONAL IMPACT OF A LOVE STORY WITH THE PULSE-POUNDING TWISTS OF A THRILLER.
Ava Arden has spent three years trying to move past the pain of a failed relationship. With her heart on ice, she channels all of her energy into her successful business, and into the lives of her best friends, the Priyas. Everything changes the day Kader Thornton, the man she walked away from, shows up in Washington, D.C., with a single goal: to win her back.
On the day of Kader’s return, Ava accidentally uncovers a secret that, if revealed, will expose a private battle for power at the highest levels of government. She soon finds herself hunted by an unseen enemy, one hiding among her friends. One who has already killed and is willing to kill again. When a trap is set for Ava, she walks right into it and disappears. For Kader, finding her is his only priority. The Priyas, lifelong friends, each one famous in her own right, hold the key.
In AVA, the first book in the Priya Club series, the real tests of their loyalty to one another are only now beginning. In a series that highlights the unique bond of friendships formed in childhood, long-buried secrets will be revealed, hidden alliances will be uncovered, and love will always win the day…but only if it’s true.
“With Ava, Ashley Barron establishes herself as much more than just a genre writer.”

“I really liked how it moved me right along with the story. More please!“
